Triple P (Positive Parenting Program)

The Triple P – Positive Parenting Program® is a parenting and family support system that is intended to both prevent and address behavioral and emotional issues in children and adolescents. It tries to avert family, school, and community issues before they occur and to provide family circumstances that promote children to reach their full potential.

Triple P is based on social interaction, cognitive behavioral, and developmental theory, as well as research on risk factors for developing social and behavioral disorders in children. It attempts to provide parents with the skills and confidence they need to be self-sufficient and capable of resolving family conflicts on their own.

And, although it is nearly uniformly effective at resolving behavioral issues, more than half of Triple P's seventeen parenting tactics are devoted to the development of good connections, attitudes, and behavior.

Triple P is available to parents of children up to the age of 12, while Teen Triple P is available to parents of children 13 and up.
